We would like to offer you the opportunity to have a look at a new e-learning module for students, midwives and obstetricians.

The topic is perineal repair after childbirth.

The e-learning course contains 8 chapters for both midwives and obstetricians:

1. Diagnosing perineal lacerations

2. Analgesia for perineal repair

3. Repair of minor lacerations in the labia

4. Repair of a 1st degree laceration

5. Repair of a 2nd degree laceration

6. Repair of a medio-lateral episiotomy

7. Repair of a 3rd degree laceration

8. Repair of a 4th degree laceration

The chapters run as online e-learning modules and each includes medical animations and video demonstrations.
The authors are experienced Danish midwives and obstetricians and we have collaborated with medical
illustration experts,professional speakers for the narration and teaching experts from midwifery schools
and medical faculties.

All chapters include evidence based recommendations and link to international guidelines from RCOG,
NICE and other professional societies.

The webpage is currently available in Danish and will be translated into English by September 2010.
